The studio
A workshop that happens to have a shop attached.
Red Zone Collective exists at the point where digital design stops being a file and becomes an object you have to physically carry up a flight of stairs.
We design the work, print it ourselves on a UV flatbed, inspect every panel under a raking light, and pack it on the same bench. Nothing is drop-shipped, nothing is warehoused, and nobody in this building has ever seen a piece they did not make.
01What a collective means here
Six disciplines, one room
“Collective” is not a branding word for a one-person operation. It is a description of how many different crafts have to work at once for a single panel to leave the building.

Digital art
Every composition is built from scratch at final size, in a colour space matched to the substrate it will be printed on.

Printing technology
A UV flatbed laying white, colour and clear in a single cured pass. The machine is the medium, not a delivery mechanism.

3D fabrication
A resin printer running most nights, producing forms that get sanded, primed and sprayed by hand afterwards.

Hand finishing
Airbrush, detail brush, two-part clear. Four hours of finishing on a single sculpture is normal here.

Physical craft
Cutting, deburring, degreasing, inspecting under raking light, packing to survive a courier. The unglamorous half.

Collectible culture
Numbered editions, a real ledger, and a rule that a closed edition is never reprinted. Scarcity that means something.
The name
Why “Red Zone”
On a tachometer, the red zone is the band past which a machine is running harder than it was designed to. Everything still works. Nothing is safe.
It is a decent description of the last ten percent of any piece of creative work — the stretch where the deadline, the doubt and the fatigue all arrive at once, and where the difference between a good thing and a finished thing gets decided.
This has nothing to do with sport. We picked it because it is the only phrase we found that describes pressure without romanticising it.
The mark is a square divided into thirds with one zone filled. A frame, with the part that carries the weight marked out.
02Standards
Four things we will not do
Values lists are interchangeable. Refusals are not — they cost something, which is what makes them worth reading.
We will not print licensed characters or logos
Not for a one-off, not as a gift, not because a hundred marketplace sellers already do. A studio that traces is not a studio.
We will not sell a panel that failed inspection
A panel with banding or a dust inclusion is scrapped. It does not become a second and it does not get discounted.
We will not invent a review or a stock counter
There are no reviews on this site yet because there are no customers yet. Every edition count you see is read from the studio ledger.
We will not take an order we know will disappoint
Send us a file that will not hold up at 36 inches and we will tell you before you pay, not after.
